Inglorious Apps Delivers Multi-Tasking Monster App for TouchPad. A Must Buy!

The first great webOS app has arrived! Our friends at Inglorious Apps have released the app "Glimpse" that really shines on webOS.

In a nutshell, Glimpse takes the strength of multitasking on webOS and puts it on steroids. When the app is opened, it features three multi-tasking sections that essentially allow you to run three apps at the same time. And they have built in some pretty compelling apps that work with Glimpse, including a fairly full-featured Twitter client.

So…for example, last night, I was checking my Twitter Feed, watching a YouTube video, and reviewing my favorite RSS feeds – all on the same screen.

The $5 app comes pre-loaded with these apps

  • Twitter Client. This client allows for the management of multiple Twitter accounts. Almost worth the $5 price by itself!
  • Weather. Simple forecast view
  • Calculator
  • Calendar
  • Converter App
  • Doodle – a simple drawing app
  • Notepad
  • RSS. Also allows you to listen to podcasts within the feed!
  • Shortcuts
  • Stopwatch
  • Task
  • Web Browser
  • YouTube Viewer

The user is able to place any of these apps into any of the three sections. Inglorious says that there will more widgets to come. This is an essential app for anybody who loves to multitask!

This is probably a dumb question, but how exactly do I go about finding my Twitter pin code which Glimpse asks for?

  • Matthew Penn

When you add a new twitter account, you will see a button that says “Step 1: Get Pincode”. If you tap that, it opens a browser where you log into your Twitter account and it displays a six digit pin code number.

Wow. I feel really dumb right about now. Guess I should pay better attention next time. Thanks…

Haha no problem. I didn’t quite figure it out the first time either. How do you like the app so far?
